One of the new and best faces on the fashion scene right now is Marco Bellotti. If you don't recognise his perfectly chiselled face from his work with Dolce and Gabbana, Vogue Japan or Harrods you might know him from some of our editorials in previous Reflex Homme issues. Marco still being fresh in the fashion world, we thought it would be great to interview him and tell our readers a little more about him.
What’s your full name?
My name is Marco Bellotti
Where are you from?
I am from Italy, from Tuscany to be exact. If you don’t know it, you should google it and check it out, you will be happy to have discovered a place like that! ;)
How did you get started as a model?
Everything started very randomly! I was scouted from Instagram.
Do you remember your first ever modelling job?
My first official modelling job was a TV spot! I flew to the south of Italy for three days. It was one of the most amazing experiences. I still feel very blessed.
What is the best thing about being a model?
If I were to pick one it would be all the travelling I get to do, It allows me to meet many people and learn about a variety of different cultures. Travelling allows me to explore and discover many new things as well as generate life experiences that would have never been possible if I would have stayed in my hometown. I feel extremely lucky! Not everyone has these kinds of opportunities in life and I’m appreciating and grateful for most of the things of this job!
You’ve worked with the likes of Rayban, Versace, Harrods and more, what’s been the biggest highlight of your career so far?
This year has been a year of revelations; I was offered a lot of great jobs! Nevertheless, if I had to choose one, I would say that seeing my face in Times Square for the Dolce & Gabbana campaign has been the highlight of my career! I'd also say my work for Vogue Japan.
If you could work with any brand, what would it be and why?
I’d like to work with the classic brands, for example, Tom Ford, Emporio Armani, Versace, D&G, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Hermès etc. because I, myself, feel like a classic guy.
What’s your favourite thing to so on your days off?
On my days off I like to do everything that I can’t do during my work days. I usually go out with my friends, go for walks around the city, study, work on my personal things and sometimes I also enjoy playing football. It depends on the days.
Name something you couldn’t live without?
I couldn’t live without food ahahah
Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
Francisco Lachowski has always been my greatest inspiration! He was initially the reason why I chose to start my modelling career! This was mostly because he was the first model that interested me and caught my attention and also because I identified myself in him on a personal level.
Where would you like to be in 5 years?
I don’t know where I would like to be in the next 5 years. I just want to give it my all and do all that it takes to get to the top!”
